A Sarahah is the content (including a single form or a combination of text, audio, video, or gift card) that the user shares with others. It is also the content that users receive from other users on Sarahah platforms.

General Information About You
There are parts of our platforms that can be accessed without registration, while other parts of our services can only be accessed by registered users. To be able to provide our services to you, we require that you provide us with some basic information about you. This includes your mobile number and the one-time-password (OTP) that we send to you. Your mobile number is used for authentication purposes and to limit misuse of our platform. Also, it is used to improve your experience on the platform, to show you relevant content and to improve our ads targeting based on your country code, we ask you to provide us with other information such as your picture to personalize the product and provide a better experience. Verified accounts require that you share your name and a subdomain/link with us.
Information shared with the public
Most of your information is kept in privacy and not shared with the public. This includes the sarahahs that are sent or received to and from other users. However, some information will appear to the public by default. This includes your registration status (whether your mobile number has a Sarahah account or not), your subdomain/link, name, and verification status. If you provide us with a profile photo,it will also appear to the public. If you select to pin some sarahahs to your public profile, it will be available for the public. If you send a sarahah to other users, including our own accounts, the recipients may share the sarahah with the public. If you choose to show your identity when sending these sarahahs, information such as your name, profile photo, verification status may be displayed to the public.
Information that we collect from our users
When you use our services, even if you are just visiting our website and not registered, we receive information about you and your access. Our servers and some third-party technology providers log your internet protocol (IP) address with timestamps to maintain the security and quality of the service and may log the IP for other purposes such as analytics. To maintain the safety and security of our users and stability of our platforms, we record your IP address and port when you register and when you send a sarahah on any of our platforms. We may also record the IP address and port on other occasions for the same purposes.
To show you The name, profile picture, and verification status of your contacts, and in previous versions to show you which contacts are previously registered in Sarahah, we do upload your contacts to our server if you give us consent. Your contacts are not stored in Sarahah's servers.

We use a third-party filtration service, Google Perspective, to filter sarahahs and content generated by our users to ensure all content is free from prohibited content.
Sarahah collects credit card information and billing address to be able to process your payment with payments gateways such as Hyperpay. We also use other services such as Apple Pay to enhance your payment experience. These services may collect information about you.
To protect our users and the maintain stability of our systems, we use third-party captcha services,such as the Google Re-CAPTCHA, which may use your IP address and cookies to perform the required check.
We use third-party services, such as Google Firebase, to assigns a token to your device.
